A’dinging – Dinging Procession

It is an annual party held in Tenro hamlet, Buki subdistrict and performed every beginning of Muharram since hundred years ago up to now.

The processing last for 1 week with some activities such as; visiting sacred place, pushing disaster away, taking holy water on foot for 3 km silently without saying any words. In the main performance all participants spray water each other as the symbol of happiness and hope in order that God give them protection and coolness to face dry season. Uniquely, even the weather is hot, after the procession of a’dinging-dinging, normally the rain comes even though not hard.
